NIE (Newspaper in Education) programs exist at most newspapers across the country and around the world to promote literacy through the use of newspapers in the classroom and beyond.

What Does NIE do?
· Provides classroom sets of newspapers to area schools
· Provides curriculum materials to students and teachers
· Provides themed educational materials to teachers
· Conducts teacher training workshops for in-service credit

When is NIE available?
In most school districts in the state of Florida, NIE is available whenever schools are in session. Many NIE programs also provide inspiration to colleges and other programs with year-round sessions.
